IONITY builds and operates Europe's fastest open-brand High Power Charging (HPC) network. The HPC charging capacity of up to 350 kW enables maximum charging speeds. Committed to sustainability, IONITY exclusively uses renewable energy, ensuring emission-free and CO-neutral driving. Currently, the IONITY network includes over 700 charging stations and more than 4, 800 HPC charging points across 24 European countries. IONITY was founded in 2017 and is a joint venture between the car manufacturers BMW Group, Ford Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Group, Mercedes Benz AG and Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche as well as BlackRock's Climate Infrastructure Platform as a financial investor. The company is headquartered in Munich, Germany, and has additional offices in Dortmund, Germany, the French metropolis Paris, and outside the Norwegian capital Oslo.
